| Drexel University, established in 1891, is a private
institution with undergraduate programs in business administration,
engineering, information science, health sciences, design
arts, and arts and sciences. There are 12 academic colleges
and schools, including the Pennoni Honors College.
HOUSING
2589 students can be accommodated in college housing, which
includes an Honors residence hall, living-learning communities,
and fraternity and sorority houses. On-campus housing, guaranteed
for the freshman year only, is available on a first-come,
first-served basis, and is available on a lottery system for
upperclassmen. 79% of students live on campus; of those, 65%
remain on campus on weekends. Parking space is allocated by
a lottery system.
ACTIVITIES
There are more than 140 groups on campus, including 15 national
social fraternities and sororities, 6 bicultural fraternities
and sororities, and Gamma Sigma Sigma, a national service
sorority. There are campus groups for art, band, cheerleading,
chess, choir, chorus, computers, dance, drama, ethnic, film,
gay, honors, international, jazz band, literary, musical theater,
newspaper, orchestra, pep band, photography, political, professional,
radio and TV, religious, social, social service, student government,
and yearbook. Popular campus events include Spring Jam, Welcome
Back Week, and Winter Weekend.
SPORTS
There are 8 varsity sports for men and 8 for women. Facilities
include a physical education and activity center with 3 gyms,
6 squash courts, swimming pool, diving well, wrestling room,
dance studio, fencing room, free-weight training rooms, and
Cybex exercise rooms; a field house; a game room with billiard,
table tennis, and arcade games; and volleyball courts.
PROGRAMS OF STUDY
Drexel confers B.S., B.A., B.Arch., and B.S.N. degrees. Master’s
and doctoral degrees are also awarded. In addition, we have
accelerated programs in which students can earn an undergraduate

From Philadelphia International Airport: Take the R1 Airport Train to Amtrak's 30th Street Station. Exit the train station at 30th and Market. From 30th and Market, you can either walk 3 blocks to the Main Building at 3141 Chestnut Street, or hail a cab.
From Center City Philadelphia: Take any westbound Subway-Surface Trolley (Green Line) to 33rd Street/Drexel University Station, or any westbound Market/Frankford train (Blue Line) to 34th Street Station. Both of these will let you off on campus, 2-3 blocks from admissions at 3141 Chestnut Street.
From Outside Philadelphia: take any of 13 regional rail lines to Amtrak's 30th Street Station. Exit the station at 30th and Market Streets. From 30th and Market, you can either walk 3 blocks to the Main Building at 3141 Chestnut Street, or hail a cab.
By Car
From New York & Northern New Jersey
Take New Jersey Turnpike South to Exit 4 (Camden/Philadelphia).
Follow Route 73 North to Route 38 West. Travel 4.7 miles
and merge right onto Route 30 West. Follow 2.6 miles to the
Benjamin Franklin Bridge. Cross bridge and stay in left lanes.
Follow signs for 676 West. Follow 676 for 1 mile and take
76 East exit. Follow 76 East exit under bridge and proceed
into right lane and follow signs for Exit 345 (do not continue
following 76 East).

North
Take 95 South to 676/Central Philadelphia exit. Take 676 West
