In the tradition of the Christian Brothers, La Salle University is dedicated to excellence in teaching , respect for the student, and for the development of values in its students. It is a private, Roman Catholic University committed to providing a liberal education of both general and specialized studies.

HOUSING
2000 students live in 11 residence halls, apartments, and townhouses on campus. The residence halls include single, double, and triple rooms. All halls are coed by floor. Apartments and townhouses, which typically house upper classmen, are the most popular housing choices. Housing is guaranteed for all four years.

ACTIVITIES
There are over 100 student organizations and activities on campus. They range from fraternities and sororities, to societies based on a specific major. For example, the Chymian Society is an organization whose members are interested in chemistry. There are also several organizations on campus involved in community service like Big Brothers/ Big Sisters. There are ethnic clubs, political organizations, and club sports as well.

SPORTS
There are 23 Division I-NCAA sports here on campus. LaSalle is a member of the Atlantic 10 conference. There are also club sports, and intramural sports. The facilities include 2 gyms, tennis courts, a swimming pool, playing fields, an outdoor track, and a weight room.

PROGRAMS OF STUDY
LaSalle offers 44 majors and an additional 18 special minors. The Arts and Sciences majors include: American Studies, Art History, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Biology, Classical Languages, Communication, Computer Science, Criminal Justice, Digital Art and Multimedia Design (DART), Economics, Economics and International Studies, Education both Elementary/ Special and Secondary, English, Environmental Science, Geology, History, Information Technology, Integrated Science and Business Technology (ISBT), Mathematics, Modern Languages, Philosophy, Political Science, Psychology, Public Administration, Religion, Social Work, and Sociology. Programs in the School of Nursing include: Nursing, Nutrition, and Speech-Language-Hearing Science. Our Affiliated Programs with Thomas Jefferson University include: Medical Technology and Occupational Therapy. Our School of Business offers: Accounting, Finance, Management, Management Information Systems, and Marketing. Our Pre-Professional Programs include: Dentistry, Law, Medicine, Teacher Certification, and Veterinary Science.

Along with undergraduate degrees, LaSalle offers graduate degrees from the School of Arts and Sciences in: Bilingual and Bicultural Studies, Central/Eastern European Studies, Clinical Counseling Psychology, MA, Clinical Psychology, Psy. D., Computer Information Science, Education, Information Technology Leadership, Professional Communication, and Theology and Ministry. The School of Business Administration offers: Master of Business Administration (MBA), and Full-Time Master of Business Administration (MBA). The School of Nursing includes: MSN Program and Certificate Programs, and MS Speech-Language Pathology.

VISIT INFORMATION
La Salle provides tours of the campus and interviews with Admissions Counselors daily Monday through Friday. A tour usually lasts about an hour. While interviews are not mandatory, they encourage you to meet your counselor following the tour. Please make an appointment through the Admissions Office at either (215) 951-1500 or (800) 328-1910. If you would like to sit in on a class you may request that when making an appointment. La Salle asks for one-week notice when setting up classroom visits.

Open House times and dates
In addition to daily tours and interviews, La Salle also has several different Saturday events called "Saturday Visit Programs," which tend to be for people who have scheduling conflicts and cannot visit during the week. Beginning at 9am and continuing until 1pm, La Salle offers an Admission Presentation, Faculty Presentation, tour of campus, and a Financial Aid presentation. Presentation dates scheduled for 2006 are: August 5, September 9, and November 11.  Additionally, there will be a Columbus Day Visit Program on Monday, October 9, 2006. Presentation dates for 2007 are: February 10, February 24, March 17 and April 28, from 9am to 1pm. From NY, Northern NJ, New England
I-95 South to NJ Turnpike South to Exit 6 (connection to PA Turnpike); follow PA Turnpike to Exit 339 (Ft. Washington exit); to Route 309 South; 309 South becomes Ogontz Avenue. Do not bear left when Rt. 309 South splits at Ogontz Avenue. Follow Ogontz Avenue, continuing on Ogontz Avenue for about 3 miles. Right on Olney Avenue to first light (20th Street). Go straight through the light. At the next light make a left into the parking lot. At the Security Booth make a left and the security personnel will direct you to the designated visitor parking spaces. Enter campus.

From The East
Route 42 West to Walt Whitman Bridge; from the bridge, follow Route 76 West to US 1 North (Roosevelt Expressway). To continue, see directions from Roue 76.

From The South
